Thai Yoga Massage
A bit like yoga, without having to do the yoga yourself.
Thai Yoga Massage is a deeply nourishing, rhythmic practice that combines mobilisation, stretching and acupressure. Sometimes described as “lazy person’s yoga”, it helps to create space in the body, improve mobility and encourage a deeper sense of ease. Get the benefits of going to yoga, without needing to do the work yourself.
Whether you’re looking to release tension, move more freely or you’re simply in need of time to relax, this is the treatment for you.
Thai Yoga Massage can help to calm the nervous system, soften physical tension and bring you back into a more grounded, present state. It draws on the traditional Thai understanding of energy lines, creating a practice that works with both the physical and energetic body.
Unlike many forms of massage, in these sessions you remain fully clothed, while the massage takes place on a futon on the floor. Using a combination of pressure, rocking, stretching and mobilisation, I work with your body, not against it.
Relaxation is not a luxury, it’s the path to feeling more like you.

Thai Yoga Massage (also known as Thai Massage) and Swedish massage are both designed to promote relaxation and support overall wellbeing, but the techniques and experience are different.
Whereas Swedish massage is carried out on a massage table, using oils, Thai Yoga Massage is performed on a futon on the floor, whilst remaining fully clothed. Thai massage combines massage, assisted stretching and gentle movement. I use my hands, arms, legs and feet to apply pressure and guide the body through different movements. It’s an amazing form of massage.

Thai yoga massage is an incredible form of massage for many people and can be particularly beneficial if you experience muscular tension and stiffness, or if you’re looking for a way to deeply relax.
However, it may not be suitable for everyone. If you are pregnant, have a recent injury, have a medical condition, or have any concerns about whether Thai yoga massage is appropriate for you, it's best to get in touch before booking and we can discuss how I may be able to adapt the treatment to suit your needs.

Thai yoga massage should not be painful!
The intensity will vary throughout the session, but I intend my sessions to be restorative, not intense. You’ll experience sensations of pressure and stretching as your body is worked into different positions. The treatment is adapted to your individual needs, flexibility and comfort level. If you prefer a gentler treatment, you can tell me beforehand.
I will communicate with you throughout the session, and you can always let me know if anything feels too much. The aim is to leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed and more mobile — not sore or uncomfortable.

There’s no right or wrong here.
Some of my clients come every two weeks, to help maintain mobility and relaxation. For others booking in one-off session is a great way to reset every few months. I’m happy to recommend a frequency to suit your goals and needs. If you have any questions - just ask!
-
I’ll ask you to fill in a health questionnaire before you come and before your treatment starts we’ll have time to talk through your specific needs - remember this is time for you and can be adapted to suit you.
Unlike many forms of massage, in Thai Yoga Massage you remain fully clothed, while the practice takes place on a futon on the floor.
During the massage I’ll use a combination of pressure, rocking, stretching and mobilisation. I work with your body rather than against it. The session will focus on your entire body - legs, feet, arms, back and head, for a complete system reset.
-
The key is comfort!
Clothes that you can move in - loose fitting clothing or yoga clothing work well. During the massage as you relax your body temperature can drop, so you may want to bring a jumper and a cosy pair of socks. The room is kept lovely and warm and I have plenty of blankets on hand to make sure you’re cosy and comfortable.
